Hearts of Elegance ~ Negative Cut Technique

Surprise Inside!!

It's been a long time since I used this technique and what better time of year than "love season"? 

I love how the small strips of patterned paper on the white background give the illusion that this is harder than what it really is.  Then using the die cut of the heart on the inside (I call it the negative cut technique) is the cherry on top!  

It really is super easy.  Check out my quick video to show how it all comes together.  Then the products used and dimensions are listed below. 



 Items Used:

    Hearts of Elegance stampset
    Hearts of Elegance dies
    Bee Mine 12 x 12 paper
    Rhinestone embellishments
   
        
Inks:

    Real Red
    
Paper/Dimensions:

    Petal Pink cardstock: 5½" x 8½", scored at 4¼"
    Real Red cardstock: 3¾" x 3¾" 
    Basic White: 3½" x 3½", 4¾" x 3½" (inside); scrap for small heart
    Bee Mine DSP #1: ¾" x 3½" (x3)
    Bee Mine DSP #2: ¼" x 3½" (x2)
