I will be honest, the Square Vellum Doilies are just not my favorite but I seem to have a truckload of them. Are they like bunnies???
So I challenged myself to find other ways to use them.
This tutorial will show you how I used them as a stencil.
Items needed:
Silver foil cardstock cut to 3"x 3"
StazOn black ink
Sponge
Repositionable/temporary adhesive
- Place a little temporary adhesive on the back of the doily and center it on the silver square. This will help hold it in place while you are sponging. **
- Use the sponge to apply StazOn in over the doily.
Applying the ink. |
- Remove the doily to reveal your stenciled design. The inked doily can be used for another project.
- On this card I used a plain doily behind the inked silver square. The silver appears different as the light bounces off it. Yu have to see it in person to get the full effect.
**Helpful hint: You will see that I missed punching out all the "hanging chads". Make sure that all the pieces of the vellum have been punched out before you ink it up.
